Important Stipend Credit Form (GSAS, GSAPP, SIPA, SEAS)
As you know, Columbia has changed its stipend payment method to withhold $7,780 from the initial fall payment for Teaching Fellows, Research Fellows, or Preceptors in GSAS, GSAPP, and SIPA, and Teaching Assistants in SEAS. You can use this form to get at least $2,000 of that money. For more than $2,000, Columbia will ask you to submit documentation substantiating the financial need for your request. You’ll need to be logged in to your Columbia LionMail account to access and submit the form.
Please be aware that it is an advance that will need to be returned before spring pre-registration opens on Monday, November 15 for SIPA and Monday, November 22 for GSAS, GSAPP, and SEAS.
Please fill out this form ASAP to recoup a portion of the lump sum stipend CU unilaterally withheld from workers. You can also submit a testimonial here on how the pay schedule change affects you and contact us with any questions or concerns at info@studentworkersofcolumbia.com.
