Mediation at 2pm Today + Update on Last Night's Session

Hi  everyone,

Last night, we came within inches of making an agreement with the University on a package. The University accepted our supposal of having full NLRB recognition and open shop with a four year contract duration. However, the University balked at our proposal to restore lost pay with make-up work, including withheld stipends.

We will be meeting with Kevin at 2pm today to discuss back work, back pay, and the insufficiency of our compensation proposal in light of the university’s refusal to engage with us on this topic. We will have our very first General Body Caucus (ignore the name, just please (!!) come to this zoom link) at 1pm to prepare the conversation, and recap the recommendations from the back pay working group.
